From the now defunct North Hollywood, CA guitar company, Valley Arts, this is the California Pro model. The history of Valley Arts began in the 1970's with two partners, Mike McGuire and Al Carness who wanted to start their own guitar company. The company was rocky for a while and eventually closed in 2005.

Fingerboard has a hairline split from the 6th to the 18th fret. Standard Pro Standard Pro model from the Valley Arts catalog is a solid, double-cut guitar with a flat-top body and bolted neck. It is made in the style of the 1980s Soloist and Super Strat models. Vintage styling and construction are completed with a modern tone provided by a set of three active EMG pickups in the standard H/S/S configuration.
Gibson now controls their own line of Valley Arts guitars out of the Custom shop, as Mike McGuire is now the operations manager.This guitar has definitely seen some action!
